The Unseen War

There is a war afoot.  There are people out there who want to disparage those of us who enjoy munching on the candy that kept American soldiers happy during World War II.  The candy that is so durable that Donald MacMillan took them to the Arctic and Admiral Byrd took two and one-half tons of the candy to the South Pole.  Yes, folks, I’m talking about those delicious wafers from the New England Confectionery Company – Necco Wafers.  FranIAm has attack Aunt Dahlia.

I have volunteered my services to the cause of Waferdom and pledge not to falter on the way to total victory.  We shall not Waffle on the Wafer!

    robert!
This is one of my favorites and the last candy I ever ate. If I still ate candy that would be it. They were a nickel a role when we were kids. Headquarters is down the street from Salem in Revere, Mass. I watched your video and you are certainly something. I favorited it and passed it on. That was good and it really makes me want to say something about the situation but I won’t spoil it so I’ll shut up!

    Leave the Necco alone!

I have loved those things since I was a kid and love sharing them with my kids even today.

Why oh why are they messing with my favortists wafer????

I have a fondness for Necco wafers, although they are not my first choice of candy. They remind me of either Communion Wafers or poker chips!

Oh, oh… such a salvo! There will be dust. The dust of a thousand Neccos being crushed in the name of democracy!!

Nancy and Harry will finally come around and you will see that we will prevail!

You can keep your nasty wafer candy. You will have to pry this Milkyway bar from my cold dead hand!
